The Red Creek Fir is the world's LARGEST Douglas fir tree. It grows in the San Juan Valley near the town of Port Renfrew, BC (Directions: http://www.ancientforestalliance.org/directions-red-creek-fir.php) The 1000+ year old tree, a major tourist attraction in the region, stretches more than 73.8m (242ft) high with a trunk 4.2m (13' 9") wide yet has been afforded no legislated protection from the BC Liberal Government.
